AMD might start off in tablet chip market.AMD CEO Dirk Meyer believes that the iPad’s success in the market wasn’t a fluke and that tablets are here to stay.ARM has emerged as a leading processor technology for smartphones.Apple iPad tablets runs on an A4 Apple’s own ARM processor. Galaxy Tab has a Samsung ARM Cortex A8.BlackBerry playbook also uses an ARM processor.
Intel and AMD both are looking to get into this market,while intel have its own plans.AMD will carefully wait for the tablet market to mature.
