| Used Mobiles | February 6, 2011

nokia alliance microsoftOn upcoming Feb 11 Nokia will announce what will be there strategy for 2011 , if they really want to regain the lost confidence of investors and press this could be a good time for it.Till now company was focusing on the Symbian operating system which is there own Os,but it seems like things are going to change a bit.It seems that the Finns have come to realize and see what it’s worth, the solution is to do something new or die, and the prospect of using third party control system does not sound so bad after all. And there are a few days ago rumors of a possible alliance with Microsoft lifted shares nearly 5%, so soon.

Nokia and Microsoft had already been working over some new tech development since past few years. There are chances that both of the companies can bring in a better competitive device to Iphone and other smartphones. As the alliance between the two companies can inherit the best of both, solid operating system – Nokia Windows Phone 7 and the other the great hardware (remember the 12-Megapixel camera of the Nokia N8 , or HDMI) from Nokia , the result,

Although it is quite early to say what is going on but things do change very drammatically in tech field so lets wait and watch.

My Laptop Camera Is Not Working

| Featured | March 6, 2010

My friend asked

I have a acer laptop and its web camera is not working, what should i do to fix it.My lappy is not showing it into the device manager.

If this is your problem also please try these solutions

First of all download the camera driver from the authorised website.Like for acer you have to go for acer website to download it.
unless you install the right driver, it won’t work. Also make sure that you choose it  according to your product.

These solutions have been suggested on a forum techarena.in
you can also try this solutions

t has become a common problem for HP pavilion laptops users to face major problems with their built in webcams. This could have been either due to a configuration problem or a problem with your driver.

For Windows Vista users

If you are using a Windows Vista operating system, this is what you can do:

1. Ensure that you are connected to the Internet and that you know the model number of your laptop.
2. connect to the HP website through the link http://h20180.www2.hp.com/…
3. After selecting your laptop model, click “Software & Drivers Downloads”
4. Hence, choose your operating system (in this case it’s Vista).
5. Choose the software update file that you need and follow the instructions.

If you have Vista operating system and have Hp laptop and Vista doesn’t detect Monitor’s built-in webcam with the above solution doesn’t worked for you then you can try
Simplo webcam update from ‘Microsoft windows update’ was installed
a.k.a.
*_PCT_-_Streaming_Media_and_Broadcast_-_Simplo_Webcam_*,
this update messed up the webcam entry in device manager by removing the
imaging device from the list and there is no way to uninstall this
update.

Here is the solution:
-open device manager
-expand usb controllers list
-select ‘Simplo webcam’ device and press uninstall. Check box ‘Also
delete driver’.
-press the button ‘detect hardware changes’. A new imaging device will
appear as ‘Ricoh webcam. Repeat previous steps for this device in order
to delete it as well. Press again the button ‘detect hardware changes’.
The correct device ‘HP Webcam’ will appear in the list. Webcam is now
ready for use.

Toshiba Satellite T135 (Review)

| cheap computers - refurbished computers - computer stores | December 1, 2009

Toshiba Satellite T135

Although Toshiba made a late but effective entry into the netbook market, the company has jumped right into the Ultra-Low Voltage (ULV) category: affordable thin-and-lights that are slightly larger and more powerful than mini-notebooks.This is a sleek, glossy machine that starts at around 3.9 pounds for the 13-inch models. It comes with Dual-core CULV processor; Windows 7 preinstalled; very good battery life.I would suggest you to go for dual-core

What i missed in it

It was very fast at resuming from sleep, but took more than two minutes to perform a restart with just three common programs running, and nearly two minutes to start up cold.
Weak speakers; uncomfortable touch pad.
T135’s keyboard feels a bit cramped which affects typing speed a bit

CPU: 1.3-GHz Intel Pentium SU4100
