A rugged notebook offers users the ability to work in any environment and any place. They should be versatile and powerful. These type of notebooks are specially designed for both indoor and outdoor including military usages. Built to handle the toughest environments, fully rugged notebooks have IP54 environmental protection, meets MIL-STD 810F and have heavy duty – generally magnesium alloy – cases.

The rugged DuraBook provides extra protection around the smart battery circuitry to prevent damage from overheating and voltage and the battery calibration that helps extend battery life after repeated charges and discharges. A patented DVD / CD tray lock prevents unintentional ejection of the optical disk space, if the notebook is dropped or exposed to excessive vibration.

Dura Book notebooks combine elegant style with easy portability and a rugged quality not typically found in laptops.

Each DuraBook notebook meets the military 810F specification for drop resistance, and crossing the U.S. military standards for shock and spill resistance as well. Gamma-tech anti-shock mounting design that all Dura Books added protection for critical components such as LCD, RAM, CPU and HDD Intel-powered state. A spill-resistant keyboard, touchpad and switches prevent spills from seeping into sensitive interior parts and notebook

Dell laptops are popular because they can be easily customized according to the need of the consumer. If you don’t like any of the specifications of your favorite laptop then you can configure yourself online.

Dell 1525 can’t go for 3D graphics and have no dedicated video card option which means users who want to play 3 D games might not be satisfied with it.

But look what it has in it ?

First thing which most of the people consider it the price.Ya it is a cheap gadget and is quite popular because of its price.Plus points of this device are its sleek design, strong dual-core performance, long battery life. You get the fine 15.4-inch widescreen framed by a silver bezel. The 1440 x 900-pixel glossy panel delivered vibrant colors and a sharp picture with very little reflection

Battery life : Stands around 4 hrs.Standard 56-Wh battery (six-cell) were impressive 3 hours 45 minutes on MobileMark 2007 tests. You can also add more to it by adding a 85-Wh (nine-cell) battery to it.But it will cost you.It has got WWAN available. Awesome typing experience. Affordable.Lots of entertainment features including an instant-on button, a Webcam, and even dual headphone jacks.

All in all
It is a good buy but not for those who are looking to get it for 3D gaming purpose, gamers will be disappointed by the lack of graphics options.

Refurbished laptops :

Dell Inspiron 1525 is also available at dell’s official site.Ranging from $400 to above.
