Apple Confirms New Rules For App Developers
Apple confirmed that developers should sell the ebooks outside from the ipad and iphone apps.If they want to sell it through within the app then purchase will have to be routed through Apple which means a direct 30% cut.
Trudy Muller Apple spokeswoman said – “We are now requiring that if an app offers customers the ability to purchase books outside of the app, that the same option is also available to customers from within the app,”
While Apple says that this rule applies only for the e-books,but this rule might also be applicable for the apps that sell movies, magazines, music or virtual goods in games.App developers will now seek a way around to get things going.
