ARM now will be Arm Of Microsoft

Microsoft and ARM, the chip company have got into a new licensing agreement which will enable Microsoft to have closer look and access to ARM’s technology. Microsoft will now be able to design its own processor based on the ARM chip architecture, which features decent smartphone performance without consuming too much battery power.
According to KD Hallman (G.m at Microsoft)says – that with this closer access to ARM technology they will “be able to enhance our research and development activities for ARM-based products,”
Though they have already worked together in 1997.Microsoft will be able to have close look and also access to the very low-level chip functions as they have already done the paper work for it.It has long been rumored that Microsoft has a full-blown version of Windows for ARM chips ready in its lab.Well this policy of getting in chip market might help microsoft a lot in cutting costs of the company and would enable company to become self reliable.
