It means it was RMA'd under waranty. Company will refurbish original laptop, and mail the warrantee a different identical laptop.

In the refurb process, EVERYTHING on the hard drive is erased and Windows reinstalled, so no **** photos :-(

Most of the time it's a cosmetic touch up, like replacing the keyboard, and the LCD's back panel.

Tougher fixes call for swapping out one of the guts (CPU, Ram, motherboard, dvd drive, LCD screen) but it'll be a new piece at the end.

Laptops that need EVERY cosmetic piece replaced and the LCD screen is bad gets marked as TEARDOWN and will be salvaged for internal parts, and will NOT be resold, so the laptops that pass that test are SOLD are in EXCELLENT CONDITION.

You have nothing to worry about with a refurbished laptop.

really depends, usually they are returns that have been repaired...then resold for a discount.

To be honest unless your getting a good discount i wouldnt bother.

It means that it has been previously used but the manufacturers tested it and fixed and problems before selling it again. Its a good bet because you save a lot of money and there wont be any problems with it until you ***** it up.

If you want my suggestion, get a refurbished Apple laptop.
